A bit about us

Nights in White Canvas....
Never reaching the end... (hopefully)

As a family of keen campers we know that nothing beats the pleasure of sleeping and waking in the fresh air that only exists in a natural, canvas tent. We have owned motorhomes, campers with awnings, air-beam tents, tunnel tents and pop-ups and none of these have provided the quality of sleep we have experienced in our breathable canvas tents.
Dutch pyramid tents should not
be confused with bell tents or tipis. These pyramid tents typically have large proportions with plenty of room for full sized double-height air beds and ceiling and entrance heights of over six feet. Some feature moveable front walls that create versatile living space and most come with front porches that can be made larger with a wonderful assortment of awnings and side wings. Most have bathtub sewn in ground sheets which ensure no creepy-crawlies can get in and will even keep out mild floodwater.

For many years the Dutch have been world masters in the production of beautiful canvas tents, most makers having originally been engaged in the manufacture of sails for boats. The most famous brands are De Waard, Randstad and ESVO. All three use top quality canvas which is known to be the best in the industry.
We source our tents direct from owners in the Netherlands  and nearly always find that they have been used carefully and stored with care. The term “pre-loved”  must have been invented for these tents. They are regarded with great affection by the families we buy them from and have clearly been integral in making happy holiday memories for them.
We normally pitch the tents to allow them to air, check for any damage and ensure that they are ready to start a new life. Sometimes there are marks from tree sap but these add to the patina and feel of a tent. We do not get involved with tents that have serious mould issues. Laminated English instructions are provided with each tent and the poles are colour coded for ease of assembly.
We sell via Facebook and sometimes on eBay. However, an increasing proportion of our business comes from personal recommendations and word of mouth.
